01

Getting Started

Yes. The Propalt Starter plan includes 1,000 API credits per month at no cost, with access to all core endpoints. No credit card is required. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time as your usage grows.
Sign up at propalt.ai, choose a plan (including the free Starter), and your API key is available immediately in your dashboard. Authentication uses standard Bearer token headers on all requests.
We recommend using real postcodes with low call volumes for testing. The ping endpoint is free and does not consume credits. Full documentation with sample requests is available at docs.propalt.co.uk.
02

API & Data

Rate limits vary by plan. Starter plans are limited to 10 requests per second. Growth plans support up to 50 requests per second. Enterprise plans have custom limits — contact us to discuss your requirements.
The dataset is refreshed every 24 hours from source. Land Registry transactions are typically reflected within 48–72 hours of registration. EPC data is updated as new certificates are issued by the government register.
Propalt accepts UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number), UDPRN (Royal Mail delivery point reference), property_id (Propalt internal identifier), and full or partial postcodes. Address-to-UPRN resolution is available via the /address-lookup endpoint.
Coverage varies by dataset. Core address and postcode data covers the full UK. Land Registry data covers England and Wales only. EPC data covers England and Wales. See the data sources page for full coverage details by dataset.
Bulk data export is available on Enterprise plans. For high-volume use cases, contact us to discuss a data licence or batch processing arrangement.

MCP Server

The Propalt MCP Server implements the Model Context Protocol — an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude Code and Cursor call external APIs as tools. Once configured, your AI assistant can query UK property data in natural language.
The MCP server supports any client that implements the Model Context Protocol, including Claude Code, Cursor IDE, Windsurf, Continue, and Cline. Configuration examples for each client are on the MCP page.
No. MCP tool calls use the same API credits as direct REST API credits. There is no additional charge for using the MCP server — it's included in all plans including the free Starter tier.
Yes, if your agent framework supports MCP as a tool protocol. We also provide an OpenAPI spec and Markdown documentation formatted for LLM context windows, which can be used with any agent framework.
04

Pricing & Plans

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Monthly credits do not roll over. Each billing period starts with a fresh allocation. Enterprise plans can negotiate custom terms.
No. All plans are month-to-month with no minimum term. Enterprise plans may include annual pricing options with a discount.
